    B.S. or M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering with minimum of 5 years’ experience on geotechnical projects. Must be a registered professional engineer. In this position, candidate will be involved with management of geotechnical engineering projects and explorations, which consists of performing boring layouts, clearing utilities, supervising field explorations, performing geophysical surveys, classifying soil, assigning laboratory testing, and preparing geotechnical reports. Projects include a wide variety of sites, from residential developments to large industrial facilities, and public sector projects. Additional responsibilities may include assisting senior staff in marketing, preparing proposals, maintaining regular client contacts, managing budgets, proposals and invoices. Knowledge of typical geotechnical design software (such as PCSTABL, SLOPE/SEEP, LPILE, etc.) and basic computer skills as it applies to geotechnical engineering is required. Must have strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. Candidate will prepare proposals for a variety of project types and for local, municipal, and federal clients. In addition to office work, position will involve field work including, but not limited to, field investigation, construction observation, and on-site consultation, depending on project needs and staff availability. A project level engineer will have demonstrated ability to supervise subordinate staff.
