Special Inspection & Construction Materials Testing Services
STRATA works closely with owners, developers, engineers, architects, governing jurisdictional agencies, and contractors to provide solution-oriented, valuable, and professional special inspection and construction materials testing services.
STRATA's construction material testing technicians and special inspectors have received training in the inspection and testing of soil, hot-mixed asphalt paving, aggregates, reinforcing steel, concrete, masonry, structural steel, welding, high-strength bolting, spray-applied fireproofing, drilled-in-anchors (chemical epoxy adhesive or mechanical expansion anchors) and non-destructive testing (NDT). As a demonstration of their training and experience, and as a commitment to their profession, our personnel hold certifications by such organizations as: International Code Council (ICC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), American Welding Society (AWS) and the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).
STRATA provides special inspection and construction material testing services for various types of projects including: transportation, airports, infrastructure, public works, educational, industrial, commercial, governmental and residential projects throughout the northwestern United States. Our varied experience provides us with the understanding that each client is unique and requires unique solutions to the needs of their specific project. Therefore, STRATA tailors its services to meet the needs of each individual client and project. Through this approach, STRATA has developed a reputation for providing dependable and quality special inspection and construction testing services.
In addition to our certified field personnel, STRATA also has various construction material testing laboratories located throughout the intermountain northwest equipped to perform full-service testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, reinforcing steel, concrete masonry units, masonry grout, masonry mortar, and asphalt. Our laboratories are certified by organizations such as the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO), the Army Corp of Engineers (ACOE), and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) to perform testing of construction materials. If necessary, we can bring our laboratory testing capabilities to a project site using one of our mobile field laboratories.
STRATA's staff is comprised of uniquely qualified construction material testing professionals and the necessary support personnel to meet the needs of each project.
