Jubilant HollisterStier is a contract pharmaceutical manufacturing company. The project consists of a new N2 bulk tank and a multi-level 50,000 square-foot addition to an existing structure. Construction includes foundation elements consisting of cast-in-place Portland cement concrete footings, column pads, slabs-on-grade, elevated slabs, and a roofing structure that contains structural steel elements, including a metal roof deck over open-web steel joists and wide flange beams.
GEOTECHNICAL STRATA performed a geotechnical engineering evaluation by observing and documenting exploratory borings and providing opinions and recommendations to assist construction document development for earthwork activities, shallow foundation design, concrete slab-on-grade floors, lateral earth pressures, and pavement section design, based on the conditions encountered and observed.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES STRATA’s engineering staff performed geotechnical observations aligned with STRATA’s role as the Geotechnical-Engineer-of-Record. Our Construction Services Professionals perform on-site observation and field testing of earthwork operations, reinforced concrete placements, structural steel installation, sprayed-fire resistant material operations, and Portland cement concrete placements. In addition, STRATA’s accredited laboratory provides soils, aggregate, and concrete, testing to complete our scope of services.
