STRATA assisted Lowe’s on new store projects featuring an approximate 100,000 square foot building with parking areas, a garden center, stormwater disposal facilities, and various utilities and landscaping improvements. The buildings consist of concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction with metal trusses and roof systems. Concrete slabs-on-grade comprise the flooring systems. Lowe’s typically constructs both rigid (Portland cement concrete [PCC]) and flexible (bituminous concrete) pavements at their facility. Local roadway connections were also improved to provide site access. The Lowe’s new store projects were located in Yakima, Spokane, and Union Gap.
