The Coeur d’Alene Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility

The Coeur d’Alene Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility project involved the construction of six structures for the Phase 2 improvements; Primary Clarifier 3, Secondary Clarifier 3, Secondary Control Building 2, Scum Pump Station, Dewatering Sumps for Secondary Clarifiers, Tertiary Membrane Filtration Tanks 3 through 6, and Chemical System Center.

GEOTECHNICAL STRATA’s geotechnical engineers reviewed previous subsurface exploration data and geotechnical reports performed at the site, performed additional subsurface exploration based on the evolving project design, and provided geotechnical opinions and recommendations to assist project planning, design, and construction. STRATA’s geotechnical report included recommendations for earthwork, foundation design, foundation drainage, lateral earth pressures, and pavement section design.

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES STRATA provided special inspection, construction materials, and laboratory testing services during construction. STRATA’s special inspectors and field professionals performed on-site observations, inspections, sampling, and testing for soil and aggregate placement and compaction, reinforced concrete placements, structural masonry placements, structural steel field welding operations, drilled-in-anchor installation, and hot mixed asphalt placement and compaction. STRATA completed our scope of services by performing the associated laboratory testing.
