The Omak Airport Water System project consists of a single-story well-house for a recently constructed groundwater well and a waterline distribution system spanning approximately 4,000 linear feet. The well-house will include concrete masonry unit perimeter walls and a slab-on-grade floor, occupying a plan area of approximately 256 square-feet. A proposed future water storage reservoir is also planned and will consist of a 300,000-gallon, 70-foot tall water storage reservoir.
GEOTECHNICAL STRATA performed a Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation to assess subsurface soil conditions to assist final design and construction document development. STRATA’s report provided geotechnical opinions and recommendations for earthwork, shallow foundation design, concrete slab-on-grade floors, and reservoir overflow drainage considerations.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES STRATA provided quality assurance construction materials testing, special inspection, and laboratory testing services during the construction of the water system. Specifically, STRATA performed on-site observation, sampling, and testing during earthwork operations and reinforced concrete placements.
